Big Ticket Items

This is the stuff I know I won’t get, but I figured that I might as well put it down somewhere.

Refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Series – Price Varies

I’m finally over using my iPad for everything — I do too much stuff in the field (literally and figuratively), and I miss having a proper laptop. Now that I’ve figured out iMessage on a PC, I really don’t think there’s a reason to go back to a MacBook, especially given what I intend to use the laptop for. Combine that with my NAS and my desktop (all on Windows), and it seems like a foregone conclusion to come back.

Ideally, I’d like a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Gen 3 or 4. As I’m sure everyone knows, I am not a fan of big, honkin’ 16-17 inch laptops, and this is perfect for me.

Garmin Edge 850 Touchscreen – $600

I’ve had my current Garmin since 2016. The screen is screwed up, the battery sucks (it barely lasts a ride), the buttons are cooked, and it’s generally just due for an upgrade.

“Realistic” Items

Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses – $191

To replace what the Gulf of Mexico stole from me. I love the tortoiseshell frames, and any color of lens will be amazing. No need to get polarized or anything fancy, I’m tough on sunglasses.

Dot-Matrix Printer – Prices Vary

We’re really pushing the definition of “realistic” on this one. Frankly, I just want one of these because I think they’re really cool, and I really enjoy vintage computing. Imagine printing out a fontboard on one of these!

It doesn’t need to be the modern Epson dot-matrix printer. I almost prefer a vintage one with a serial port, and I can make the rest work (especially now since I have full control of a network!)

Actually Realistic Items

CNHL 10,000 mAh Lipo – $120

If you’re going to get this, make sure you get this exact battery. This is for the big drone!

Adjustable Lab Bench Power Supply – $75ish

I’ve always wanted one of these to plop on my workbench. To be honest, I don’t have a TON of use for one, but I do like the idea of having one. I want one that can output at least 10 amps.

Linus Tech Tips (LTT) Screwdriver – $70

As I’ve gotten older, I put more emphasis on having decent quality tools. This screwdriver is the best in the business, and was incredibly thoughtfully designed. Well worth the money!

Camelbak Podium Ice Bottle – $33 Each

You may be asking me, “Ryan, is that water bottle really thirty-three dollars?” And to that, I say, yes. And I firmly believe it’s underpriced. Simply put, this is the best water bottle on the market. I refuse to use any other bottles on my bike. Some call it OCD, I also call it OCD. But they’re really that good.

Large Wall Clock – $32

I would love two of these clocks for my wall — I do a lot of shows in different time zones, and I’d love to have the ability to see multiple time zones!

Micro SD Cards – $26

I can literally never have enough of these. I use them for absolutely everything and lose them like crazy. Help me out!

Smelling Salts- $20

Because I honestly believe I’m built different. How bad can they actually be?
